Legends in charge
After Tuesday’s defeat to Wigan Athletic Keith Curle was relieved of his duties and Academy manager Jon Brady has been placed in Caretaker charge. With Cobblers Legends Ian Sampson and Marc Richards has also joined the team as temporary assistants.

Six pointer
The Cobblers a looking to do the double of Burton Albion after earlier this season the Cobblers beat Burton 3-1 at the Pirelli Stadium. When Harry Smith got the Cobblers first goal in the second minute of the match.
Harry Smith got his second in the game on the 67 minutes by poking the ball past Ben Garratt after being fed in superbly by Jack Sowerby. Cobblers extended the lead as Chris Lines made it 3-0 with a terrific volley at the back post, Marshall providing the assist with a pin-point cross.
However, Lucas Akins scored from the penalty spot in injury time to deny the Cobblers a clean sheet but the victory was secure.
Old Faces
A few old faces will return to Sixfields on Saturday. Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink returns to Burton for the second time as manager. Jimmy managed the Cobblers in 2017 in Leauge One. Jimmy was sacked on April 2nd after a loss to Peterbrough United.
John Joe O’toole and Joe Powell are among some of the ex-cobblers in Burton Albion side John Joe played for the club during the Leauge Two title winning campaign. Joe Powell was with the Cobblers in early 2019 losing just one of 10 games and scoring one particularly stunning goal for the Cobblers.
