1899 – The Cobblers beat the Grenadier Guards 10-1 in a friendly. Everard Lawrence and Matthew Cipstone both scored four goals apiece.

1950 – The Cobblers set a new attendance record at the Baseball Ground when 38,063 saw them lose 4-2 to Derby County in the FA Cup.

1967 – Dennis Brown celebrated his Cobblers debut with a goal in the 3-2 defeat by Portsmouth

1992 – The Cobblers were crushed 5-0 at Burnley, and also had Christian McClean sent off
