Ahead of the Cobblers’ meeting with Swindon Town, we take a look at a few players who have represented both clubs.

Frank Large

A Cobblers favourite, Frank Large made 250 appearances and scored 96 goals for Northampton. He also had a spell with Swindon, scoring four goals in 17 appearances.

Alan Mayes

Alan Mayes scored four times in ten appearances during a loan spell with the Cobblers and also enjoyed spells with Swindon Town.

Paul Trollope

Paul Trollope began his career at Swindon before joining Northampton in 2002, where he was appointed captain.

Éric Sabin

French striker Éric Sabin represented Swindon before later becoming a popular figure during his time at Sixfields.

Yaser Kasim

Yaser Kasim made over 100 appearances for Swindon before having a short spell with Northampton during the 2017/18 season.

Timi Elšnik

Timi Elšnik spent time on loan with Northampton in 2018/19 before joining Swindon on loan the following season.

Christopher Missilou

Christopher Missilou joined Northampton in 2020 before moving to Swindon in February 2021.
