Looking back through the books, we’ve picked out a few players that have played for both the Cobblers and Cheltenham.

Ben Tozer.

Current Cheltenham Town skipper Ben Tozer had three separate spells with the Cobblers, originally in the form of two loan spells from Newcastle United between 2010 and 2011 which then turned into a permanent move in 2011.

He went onto spend a further four years in Northamptonshire and in the 2012/13 season was a part of their squad that defeated Cheltenham in the League Two play-off semi-finals before going onto lose 3-0 to Bradford City at Wembley.

Billy Walters

Billy joined the Cobblers from Cheltenham in 2017, Billy has since had a loan spell back at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium last season, while he also spent the second half of this season on loan at Newport County.

Lloyd Jones

Jones who is on loan to the Cobblers from Luton until the end of this season. Jones was also on loan at Whaddon Road in 2015 from Liverpool where he began his senior career.

Neil Grayson.

Neil made over a hundred appearances at Sixfields in the mid-90s before moving onto Cheltenham where he again appeared regularly having had a stint at Hereford United in between.

Kaid Mohamed

Kaid was on loan to Northampton in 2014 from Port Vale, he made just over 20 appearances for the Cobblers. Kaid played for Cheltenham between 2011 – 2013 where he made over 80 appearances and scored over 15 goals.

Josh Low

When Josh left Oldham he became the Cobblers record signing, costing the club £165,000 in July 2003. Low became a popular figure amongst the Northampton fans, who gave him the nickname J-Lo. Predominantly a right winger, he can also play in defence or central midfield. He scored 5 goals in 29 League Two appearances in the 2005/06 season.
