York where the visitors to the County Ground on a cold Saturday afternoon in division 4, the Cobblers made 2 changes to the side as Bell and Brown return vice Johnson, McClean. Worthing referee Mr G Willard was the man in charge of the game.

The first goal came in the early chances of the game as Terry thunders in a 30-yard effort from a Beavon free kick in the 4th minute of the match. However, York soon put their name put their name on the sheet as Pepper picks his spot after slack marking in the Northampton penalty area.

All the action in the game came in the first half as soon after York took the lead in the match as Canham shrugged off Chard and lobbed Richardson. Then before half time the Cobblers equalised as Chard headed down a Beavon free kick and Barnes poked the ball home.

The Crowd of 3,355 left the Country Ground after watch a 4 goal thriller.
