A Friday nights under the Sixfeilds lights on February 17th 2006 a league two game which attracted a crowd of 5,636.

A game which saw Keeper lee harper have a quite night in the Cobblers goal. The game saw Torquay only have a total of 5 shots with 2 on target. United goalkeeper kept Torquay in the game with the Cobblers having over 13 shots, with 8 on target.  

Tony Bedeau was the danger man for Torquay with him being the only one to cause any trouble for the Cobblers. 

Colin Calderwood was booed for taking off McGleish but made his feelings known to the crowd when Taylor scored just 3 minutes later.  The Cobblers moved into second place which became the highest position in any league since 1990.
