On the the week Dick Underwood brought the Cobblers from Derek Banks, they traveled to Leeds Road to play Huddersfield in Division 3.

The boys were looking to carry on the form from the 4-2 win in Division 3 at the County Ground just a week prior.

It didn’t start well for the Cobblers as McPherson gave away a penalty which Maskell converts for the hosts.

On the crisp of half time however, O’Regan brought Culpin down in the box, Gilbert converted the penalty. With the Cobblers being on top on the game with th the Cobblers having over 11 shots with 8 on target. Huddersfield only had 5 on target the whole game.

The wining goal came for the Cobblers in the 82 minute as Culpin picked up a Sandeman through ball and rifled home.
