Michael Salisbury will take charge of Monday’s Sky Bet League Two play-off final between Exeter City and Northampton Town at Wembley Stadium.
Mr Salisbury has been a busy man this season, giving out 75 yellow cards and 9 reds in 28 matches in Leagues One and Two.
Salisbury sent off Harry Anderson when the Cobblers drew 1-1 with Lincoln at Sincil Bank last season and he also oversaw Northampton’s 3-1 defeat to Bury at Gigg Lane towards the end of the campaign.
Cobblers Fans might remember him when Mr Salisbury controversially gave Ash Taylor a red during the Cobblers 2-0 derby defeat to Peterborough. The centre-back was deemed to be the last man when he fouled Jack Marriott.
Mr Salisbury has been in charge of five Northampton matches, the Cobblers have three defeats, one draw and one win.
Lee Doughty. who was in the middle for Northampton’s 3-0 win at Cheltenham in the semi-final, has been named as the fourth official for Monday’s final while George Byrne and Matthew Jones will run the line.
