Lewis Sandoe has been appointed to take charge of Northampton Town’s League Two trip to Crewe Alexandra on Saturday afternoon.

Sandoe will be assisted by Aaron Hallam and Ollie Williams, with Darren Rogers named as the fourth official. The appointment has been confirmed by the EFL.

The Referee

Sandoe is a relatively new official to the EFL, having refereed three League Two games and one League One fixture last season.

He was involved in a Cobblers fixture during the 2025/26 campaign, serving as the fourth official for Northampton’s 3-1 victory over AFC Wimbledon in December.

This Season

Sandoe has taken charge of two National League fixtures so far in 2026/27.

His first came on 8 August as Forest Green Rovers beat Halifax 3-2, where he showed three yellow cards.

A week later, he oversaw Yeovil Town’s 1-1 draw with Carlisle United, showing another three yellows and one red.

That gives Sandoe a total of six yellow cards and one red card from two games this season.
