An article Cobblers Past do every Window where we look back on all the action involving the Cobblers, this season saw Keith Curle do most of his action early.

Before the window officially opened the Cobblers already saw the addition of Lloyd Jones who has returned for his second spell as a Northampton Town Player. He rejoined on December 29.

Jones, 25, is a 6ft 3in central defender who spent some time on loan at the club last season, making seven appearances before the campaign was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ricky homes contract expired on the 2nd of January and Keith and his staff have decided not to extended it.

The 3rd day of the month saw defender Luka Racic return to Brentford. Two days later the Cobblers saw another departure as Chris line made a move to League Two Side Stevenage.

The first new addition of January was Rotherham United attacker Mickel Miller.

The signature of the 25 year old who can play either as a striker or out wide, ends a long pursuit of the player for manager Keith Curle, who has been a keen admirer of Miller’s capabilities.

Croydon born Miller started his career as a prolific goalscorer with Carshalton Athletic, where he also spent time in the V9 Jamie Vardy Academy before moving north of the border with Hamilton Academical. In a successful two and a half years in Scotland, Miller made 68 appearances, scoring nine times, which included finishing as Hamilton’s top scorer in the 2018/19 Scottish Premiership season.

He moved to Rotherham United in the summer of 2020 and has made nine appearances in the Championship so far this season.

On the same day the Cobblers welcomed there second January addition as Leeds United striker Ryan Edmondson joined on loan until the end of the season.

The 19 year old front man, who made his Leeds United first team debut in the Championship at the age of 16, has been a prolific scorer in the Leeds United under 23 side, scoring 20 goals to help United U23s win the Premier League Professional Development League title in 2019.

Aberdeen were keen to extend his stay after he spent the first half of this season on loan in the SPL but with a host of clubs interested in the former England under 19 international, he has made the move to the PTS Academy Stadium for the rest of the season.

January 18th saw the Cobblers welcome the third new addition of the window. Bryn Morris on loan from Portsmouth for the rest of the season.

24 year old Morris started his career with Middlesbrough and enjoyed loan spells with Burton Albion, Coventry City, York City and Walsall before joining Shrewsbury Town in January 2017.

In a two year spell at Shrewsbury he played 43 times, including in the 2017/18 League 1 play off semi finals and final as well as making another 21 appearances on loan at Wycombe Wanderers.

He joined Portsmouth for an undisclosed fee in January 2019 and has made 28 appearances for Pompey, eighteen of which have come this season. He played 90 minutes for Portsmouth in both legs of last season’s League 1 play off semi finals against Oxford United.

Morris has also represented England at under-16, under-17, under-18, and under-19 levels, captaining each of the age groups.

Harry Smith made a loan move to Scotland SPL side Motherwell. Smith has made the move for the rest of the season and manager Keith Curle said the deal is in the best interests of all parties.

The following day saw a Cobblers legend leave for league Two Side Oldham Athletic, 34 year old Adams made 63 appearances in his second spell with the club, but has found his opportunities a little more limited this season, starting ten games in Sky Bet League 1.

What seemed to be the final signing of the Window right sided defender Peter Kioso on loan from Luton Town for the rest of the season.

The 21 year old enjoyed an impressive first half of the season on loan at Bolton Wanderers, scoring three times in 14 appearances.

Kioso started his career at Hartlepool United and scored four times in seventy appearances, and he has also made three appearances for Luton’s first team.

Our final departure of the window saw Defender Joe Martin sign for Sky Bet League 2 side Stevenage.

Martin has found his opportunities limited at the PTS Academy Stadium, making six league appearances this season, and manager Keith Curle said the move was best for all parties.

On #DeadlineDay at 9.40am the Club tweeted
