#Ex-CobblersManager – KEVAN BROADHURST

Kevan had trials with Manchester City & Bradford City and was about to sign for Leeds United when Birmingham City offered him apprenticeship terms. His debut for Birmingham was v Norwich in February 1977 and he scored the winner in a 3-2 victory.

During the 1979-80 season he played for two promoted clubs. Birmingham were promoted to division one and he had a loan spell at Walsall who were promoted from division Four. Kevan was selected to play for the England U-21 side to play Holland in 1979 but the game was cancelled and he was never chosen again.

Had to retire at 26 due to injuries but was given a benefit match in 1988 v Aston Villa. One of seven players in Birmingham City’s hall of fame.

At Northampton he held the position of Coach, assistant manager and manager 1999-2003 .Later manager and coach at Bristol Rovers, Coach at Birmingham and manager at Walsall
