With a week of this weekend due to the Cobblers being out of the FA Cup. We take a look to our December fixtures.

Northampton V Fleetwood – 1/12/20 – H

The first game of December sees 7th place Fleetwood travel to the PTS Academy stadium, but before they visit us on Tuesday they visit the stadium of light on Friday night. 4 wins from the last six for Fleetwood.

Northampton V Doncaster – 5/12/20 – H

The second game of the month is in the same week of Fleetwood and at Sixfields once again and sees 10th place Doncaster visit us there last League game was a 3-2 win over Blackpool. Before the visit us they will visit Carlisle in the FA Cup round 2. Before they visit Hull on Wednesday 2nd December.

Exeter V Northampton – 8/10/20 – A – PAPA JOHNS TROPHY ROUND 2

After a penalties win over Stevenage the Cobblers secured there place in round two of the competition. Exeter was drawn out of the pot to place the Cobblers. A repeat of the league 2 play off final please.

Crewe V Northampton – 12/12/20 – A

A trip to the Alexander Stadium on Saturday 12 December to see 14th place Crewe. A game which could see many goals one game in 2011 saw the Cobblers beat Crewe 6-2.

Oxford v Northampton – 15/12/20 – A

A Tuesday night away trip to the Kassam Stadium. The Cobblers haven’t lost v Oxford (the best team in league 2) in the last five meetings between the 2 clubs.

Northampton V Lincoln – 19/12/20 – H

Lincolns last trip to the PTS was a 1-1 draw in February 2019 in league two the game which saw Anderson sent off for Lincoln in the 42nd minute and Arron pairs score the cobblers only goal of the game in the 45th minute. Will we see more of this?

BOXING DAY V IPSWICH TOWN – A

The first trip to Portman road for the Cobblers since 2011 and the last visit was a good one for the Cobblers. Thanks to goals Ben Tozer, Paul Turnbull.

Northampton V Gillingham – H – 19/12/20

The final game of 2020 with maybe some fans. A game v Gillingham at the PTS, over 100 competitive games played between the 2 clubs with the Cobblers winning over 40 games.
