Northampton Town has signed central defender Luka Racic on a season-long loan from Brentford.

The 21 year old, 6ft 2in Danish under 21 international joined Brentford in the summer of 2018, signing for Brentford B from FC Copenhagen. The Danish youth international quickly established himself in West London and was given a squad number after just six months. Then 19, his maiden matchday call-up was for an Emirates FA Cup tie against Oxford United before he made his professional debut as a substitute against Millwall last April. He started for the first time on the final day of the 2018/19 season against Preston North End.

After four further appearances at the start of the last term, Luka penned a new long-term contract in November and was officially promoted to the first-team group. The 21-year-old returned from injury to play three times at the start of 2020, netting his first senior goal during a 2-2 draw against Cardiff City in February.
