Aaron Jackson will be the man in the middle for Northampton Town’s next fixture, in what will be his first-ever game officiating the Cobblers.

Jackson will be assisted by Harley McKittrick and Niall Felton, with Thomas Harty taking up the role of fourth official.

The Referee – Aaron Jackson

Jackson has officiated eight matches so far during the 2026/27 season, showing 21 yellow cards and no red cards.

The official began his campaign on 8th August, taking charge of Boreham Wood’s 3-3 draw with Tamworth in the National League, issuing just one yellow card.

His busiest match in terms of bookings this season came on 22nd September, when he showed five yellow cards during Salford City’s 1-2 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the Football League Trophy.

First Northampton Town Appointment

This fixture will mark Jackson’s first-ever appointment as referee for a Northampton Town match.

Having predominantly officiated in the National League, alongside appearances in the Football League Trophy and League Two this season, Jackson will take charge of the Cobblers for the first time.

Last Season’s Record

During the 2025/26 campaign, Jackson took charge of 11 National League fixtures, issuing 47 yellow cards and three red cards.

His highest yellow-card tally came during Hartlepool United’s 1-0 victory over Altrincham on 17th January 2026, when he issued ten bookings.

Jackson also showed red cards in Altrincham’s 1-2 defeat to Forest Green Rovers, Wealdstone’s goalless draw with Eastleigh and Sutton United’s 1-1 draw against Braintree Town.

Across the two seasons, Jackson has officiated 19 matches, issuing a total of 68 yellow cards and three red cards.
