Goalkeeper Liam Roberts has signed for Championship side Middlesbrough.
Roberts enjoyed a successful season with the Cobblers and Northampton Town manager Jon Brady says the club and player have parted on excellent terms.
- He joined the Cobblers in the summer of 2021 and made 49 appearances in all competitions for the club. He was named Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year for his performances in 2022.
- Liam was the goalkeeping choice in the PFA League Two Team of the Year for 2021/22 after keeping an EFL-high 21 clean sheets.
- Liam joined Chris Wilders Boro in June 2022 after opting against signing a new contract at the Cobblers.
