Cobblers Past

History Never Forgotten

2015 – The Cobblers 2 Luton 1

Northampton came from behind to beat fellow play-off chasers Luton, who have now lost six straight league games.

Following a goalless first-half, Alex Lawless put the visitors ahead 39 seconds after the restart with a 20-yard strike into the top corner.

Ricky Holmes equalised from the spot after Michael Harriman handled.

James Gray then secured a dramatic win for the Cobblers four minutes from time when he fired the ball into the bottom corner from just outside the box.

Luton, who have suffered eight defeats in their last nine matches, drop out of the play-off places, while Northampton move up to 10th and four points behind a play-off spot.
